You may be familiar with Puccini’s comic one-act opera about the scheming family fighting each other over their deceased relative’s bequests and the title character who has the last laugh, but do you know what happens next? Michael Ching’s 1997 sequel follows the Donati family as they seek revenge on Gianni Schicchi for getting the better of them. With accusations of murder, more infighting amongst relatives, and plenty of laughs, ‘Buoso’s Ghost’ fills out Puccini’s original story and confirms that no one can outsmart Gianni Schicchi.

Conductor: Michael Ching

Pianist: Aurelien Eulert
